Savannah Communications is a family owned and operated business and has been a Motorola Service Shop since 1960. Beginning with Ed Bigbie, whose association with Motorola goes back to his days as chief engineer of the City of Savannah radio shop in 1956 and now Ed's son Don Bigbie runs the day to day operations of the company. Together they operate one of the largest two-way radio shops in the southeast United States. The company has grown from a three person operation to over 40 employees with a total of four locations in two states; Garden City and Statesboro, Georgia, Bluffton/Hilton Head Island and Beaufort, South Carolina, and our Phonestore, which has just moved inside our main office in Garden City.
